My Pick for the Loveliest Dresses of 2012

I have been recapping the year just past in a couple of my past posts but I am not yet done. This time, I want to share my picks of the loveliest dresses of 2012. Their designers and styles may be vastly different, from soft and sweet like Jessica Alba’s gown by Valentino to the Jenny Packham stunner of a dress worn by Catherine Middleton. Let’s see if you agree with my choices, shall we?

Jessica Alba wore this sweet blush ball gown embroidered with dainty flowers when she attended the Baby2Baby Gala in November. The dress was designed by Valentino. She landed as one of the week’s best dressed in a review by Savoir Flair magazine.

British actress and Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is sexy and pretty in this split-to-the-waist column gown in this green hue that is vibrant and elegant. The Gucci gown, which she wore at the Art and Film Gala is accented with large ruffles at the back.

The side-swept curls and scarlet lips complemented the Old Hollywood glamour of this Giorgio Armani strapless gown worn by Jessica Chastain to the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals for the movie Madagascar 3.

Emma Stone is red hot on the carpet in her crimson dress by Lanvin. She chose an up-do hairstyle to complement this glamorous which she wore to the Met Gala in NYC last May.

It’s easy to see why the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton was voted Britain’s most stylish woman. Here she is in an emerald gown with an embellished lace bodice with Swarovski crystals and a pleated skirt. The dress is by Jenny Packham and she wore this to the BOA Olympic Concert.
