US Cable Channel Style Network recently announced that they will be coming out with a new reality show entitled “Styled to Rock” in the latter half of 2013. They have signed up chart-topping R&B star Rihanna to star in the new endeavor. The show will be a competition wherein 12 young designers will be handpicked by the singer. They will be tasked to style a celebrity guest on each episode. The celebrity guest will help in determining which designer moves to the next round of the competition.
The singer said in a statement that "Fashion has always played an integral part in my life and career. I am so excited to partner with Style Network and share my creative insight with these 12 designers and give them this opportunity to showcase their work.” She is also acting as the executive producer of the show. No announcements have yet been made as to who will guest host with Rihanna. The fashion experts who will serve as mentors to the contestants have likewise not been announced. It will be remembered that the singer from Barbados came out in a British show with the same name in the summer of 2012. Style Network is part of Comcast Corp’s NBC Universal.
