My Opinion

Seeing all those needles, I admit that I was afraid to try it. I've never used a Derma Roller before and those needles really looked scary. I was surprised, though when I did because it's not as painful as I expected. And when you get used to rolling it on your face in different directions, it actually feels good on your skin.

It's only been twelve days and already, I am noticing that my acne scars are slowly fading. The pores near my nose are also a bit smaller. It may not have the immediate benefits of a laser surgery, but I love this tool and I will continue to use it. This will now be a part of my daily skin regime.

Pros

It's easy to use and clean and it's definitely cheaper than getting a laser surgery or other similar procedures. It saves you time and money from getting the same service in clinics. And unlike other forms of treatment to eliminate acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks and to treat enlarged pores, this beauty tool does not damage the skin or remove the epidermis layer.

Cons

It looks intimidating, which may discourage you from trying it out, but believe me; it really works. For a small too, the price tag may also be a little too much, but hey, it's nothing compared to how much you would spend for treatments or from products you buy to eliminate all those skin problems.

Recommendation

For those who are wanting to get rid of those unsightly acne scars, to diminish the appearance of wrinkles, to get rid of hyperpigmentation and to banish stretch marks you can now replace all those expensive treatments and products with Derma Rollers.

Exuviance Illumination Duo {Review}

I love using Vitamin C serum before applying a moisturizer. It makes my skin feel really soft and smooth. It also helps fade my dark spots. Today, I will be reviewing something new. Well, they're not really new because the products are Vitamin C Serum and a moisturizer. I was sent a full-sized bottle of Evening Restorative Complex and a full-sized bottle of Vitamin C+ Antiaging Booster. (Sample packs of Exuviance Performance Peel Ap25 were included in the package.) I say new because this will be the first time I am trying out this duo. Both products are mixed before application.

Directions:

My Opinion

I was very excited when the products arrived. It was fun mixing them! The Evening Restorative Complex comes in cream form and the Vitamin C+ Booster is in powder form. When mixed, the mixture is not heavy and it is easy to apply on the skin, it's non greasy and it doesn't leave a shiny look. I was pleasantly surprised that my skin felt smooth and soft right after application. Even when I woke up the following day and washed my face, it still feels soft and smooth.

I love that it made my nighttime skin care routine simple. Instead of applying Vitamin C Serum after cleaning my face with a cleanser and toner and follow up with a moisturizer, both are now applied at the same time. There are times when my skin reacts to some products, I'm glad I did not experience any burning or irritation from this duo because I really love these products. It's only been a few days, but my skin looks plump, supple, fresh and renewed. The dark spots are also a bit lighter.

Recommendation

Exuviance Illumination Duo is the perfect product for those who are looking to rejuvenate the skin and restore moisture. I may have received these products for free, but I honestly say that I absolutely love it and I will not hesitate to buy the kit when my samples run low.

Book Review: Abigail and the Jungle Adventure

It's amazing how toddlers can process too many things in a very short span of time. Our twins who just turned 3 recently and who are still barely able to speak can say and identify all the letters in the alphabet, the numbers 1 to 10, the colors and the shapes. They learned all these using the iPad with my guidance, of course. So, whenever there is an app for toddlers available for download, I get it for them. I was recently given a chance to review an ebook, Abigail and the Jungle Adventure.

My Opinion

First off, the graphics are really nice. The clear and well illustrated graphics will easily engage young kids with the book. The story itself was very short, but it allowed our twins to learn about the Amazon and the jungle. Toddlers have a very short attention span and it was wise for the author to make the story brief and short.

Although I had downloaded several story books in the past, this is the first book that really got their attention. It's probably because of the graphics and the fun adventure of Abigail. The girls are asking me to read it to them several times a day!

Recommendation

This is a very educational book. It's a great tool to let your kids learn about other places, jungle animals and other cultures.

My Opinion

The gel has a mild lavender scent and has a nice consistency. It's not sticky at all, it absorbs fast and dries up quickly. It's been two weeks since I started using it. I use it twice daily and have been finding my skin to be clearer and the pores are a bit smaller. Some of the dark spots have faded as well. I have an oily skin and I love that this serum doesn't leave a shiny appearance. As for the fine lines and wrinkles, it's too early to say. I will continue to use this product and see what happens. After all, the secret to less visible creases is to keep the skin hydrated, right?

As you can see in the photos, it's packaged really nicely. The bottle looks expensive and it comes with a pump. The pump dispenses just the right amount to cover the whole face.

Recommendation

This is really a nice moisturizer. Not only does it leave your skin supple, but it fades dark spots and minimizes pores. This one is worth giving a try.

Nail Art, My First Try

I'm not much of an accessories person. A simple pair of earrings is what I usually wear with my outfit whenever I go out. But tonight, I decided to be not just an another acceptably dressed person. After all, hubs and I are celebrating something special tonight. Well, I'm not thinking of anything extravagant, just jumping in the nail art wagon.

Everyone seems so crazy about doing their own nails and I thought I'd try and match it with my dress. I happened to find this nice article about nail art and that's where I got the idea. So here goes...

I found this Bead It Dress in Grey from ModCloth and I fell in love with it. Instead of other glittery accessories, I decided to jazz up my nails. Here's a close up of the material.

So, off I went to my daughter's room and rummaged through her nail lacquers collection. I easily spotted the silver lacquer, but the only glittery accessories I saw are the rhinestones.

So, what do you think?  Daughter says it's not bad for a first time.

My Opinion

I received the Up All Night Collection and my nieces are definitely swooning over it. The colors are vivid and the girls are in love with all of it. Since I showed them the makeup kit, they have been trying it out and experimenting on different blendings.

As you can see in the first photos, the kit comes in a very nice tin can with the photo of the world’s biggest pop band. As for the price? I have no idea because it's not been released, yet. It will be distributed in the US first. Below are the release dates in the United States:
